Katja Moscato
Graduated in Choral Music Composition and Choral Conducting
under the supervision of M° Antonello Mercurio. Her heterogeneous sound and music world spans from classic composition to Pop-electronic music. She was co-founder of the Alibìa project, and there she contributed as author, singer and pianist. With this band she recorded three album: “Confini”(2001-MegItaly), “Tra Tutto e Niente”(2007-CNI), “Manuale Apocrifo delle Giovani Marmotte”(2010-EMImusic). The Alibìa project won the most important national awards of indipendent music ( as Arezzo Wave, RockTargatoItalia, Tendenze). Musics from the album "Tra tutto e niente" became the soundtrack of the short film "Noemi", which got the nomination to the Prize “David di Donatello” 2007. The movies of the last work were produced in collaboration with the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Turin and Rome. The Alibìa won several international prizes, among them the IULM Italian Videoclip in 2007, the PIVI-MEI 2008, the MusicClip Barcellona in 2008, the nomination to the Reykjavík Film In 2010. She composed and conducted the musics for “Il favoloso quaderno della piccola sorella Grimm” (The little sister Grimm wonderful notebook) by Luigi Dal Cin (Mondadori ed.), with the Conservatory “G.Martucci” Chamber Orchestra of Salerno at the Giffoni Film Festival.
Music therapist, expert in the Orff-Schulwerk Methodology, she is now studying Music Composizione under the supervision of M° Mario Gagliani. She is in charge of choral music projects at the most important high-schools in the Salerno district. She ttended a Voice Masterclass with M° Giovanni Acciai and Antonella Tatulli, and a Masterclass of Choral Conducting with M° Javier Busto. At the momet she is the Director of the Vocal Ensemble "Principe Sanseverino" of the University of Salerno, and author and director of the Vox Aurea Vocal Ensemble.
